Terry Samsoniuk is a proud Edmonton, Alberta resident whose life reflects the values of hard work, family responsibility, and helping others. Born and raised in Edmonton, Terry grew up in a hardworking household where integrity, loyalty, and respect for others were everyday expectations. 

Terry built a career as a Construction Safety Officer. He earned his Class 1 driver’s licence before completing Construction Safety Officer training, eventually working until his retirement in 2019. During his career, he became known as someone who prioritized safety and looked after the people around him, even saving a superintendent’s life while serving as a safety officer.

Today, Terry’s greatest responsibility is caring for his parents, who have been married for nearly seventy years and now live together in an Edmonton care home. He visits them at least five days each week, helping with laundry, shopping, medical appointments, financial decisions, and everyday needs.

Whether he is taking his father to a local car show or just spending time with his parents, Terry makes it a point to be there for them and help out whenever he can.

Beyond family, Terry spent over twenty-five years as a respected baseball and slo-pitch umpire throughout Edmonton. Friends describe him as someone who is dependable, compassionate, and always willing to lend a hand. He has a particular passion for protecting seniors, treating animals with kindness, and helping people facing difficult situations.

Currently retired, Terry continues investing in personal growth while preparing to return to part-time work. He believes every day offers another opportunity to learn, improve, and make a positive difference in someone else’s life.
